Gratings

The machine slotted bearing bars and cross bars are bonded together under 1200 Tons hydraulic pressure into a single grating unit. Each bearing bar and cross bar has a machined accurate slot at both ends to fit precisely the "T" profiled frame. Once enframed, all bearing bars are automatically resistance welded to the "T" frame at all ends. This unique design and process guarantees a very stable ans torsionaly rigid grating meeting the most stringent requirements of industrial loads. In addition to structural grating application, most of the architects find the clean unclutered lines of pressed grating attractive for architectural grillework offering level and uniform surfaces.

Pressed gratings can be manufactured to widths of 2000 mm. (cross bar) and to almost unlimited length (bearing bar) although in practice the length is determined by statical requirement and piece weight wich often limits the length to 3000 mm.
The combination of various bearing bars and cross bars which spacings offers a large variety of meshes.

The most popular mesh pattern in the industry combines a 33,33 bearing bar with a 33,33 cross bar pitch usually called the "30 X 30 mesh".
Most of the standard commercial sized panels are produced in this mesh pattern using bearing bars ranking from 20 X 2 mm. up to 100 X 5 mm.
These standard panels are regulary delivered immediately from stock in hot dip galvanised finish

The pressed gratings can be manufactured to client's specifications in almost any form (square - rectangular - round etc) with cut outs, angles, kicking plates, reinforcement strips or any feature according to customer's requirements.

Pressed gratings are manufactured in steel, aluminium and stainless steel.
These gratings can be delivered with special surface treatments such as : plastic-coating - dip painting - stove enomeling, bitumising etc...

For additional safety, the pressed gratings can be delivered with single serration (cross bar) or double serration (bearing bar + cross bar)
